This post is where you get to abuse us mods. Take advantage of us. Don't be afraid to speak up and ask questions. Need a hiatus? No problem, just let us know! Premise and rules
Welcome to Best Week Ever! This is not your average faux-celebrity community. We've changed up the rules you may be used to, but we're hoping that'll set us apart from all the other communities out there.
First and foremost, we trust that you know the basic rp rules by now. Don't mix IC and OOC. Only bad things come of it. Make sure your journal name and screen name pertain to your character. In other words, no AIM names like 2kool4skool and usernames like ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) luvr_gurl_xxx. Also, no excessive underscores please! Don't god mod anyone else's character. Pregnancies will last full-term, meaning all nine months! Quickie marriages happen, quick divorces do not. If you have a questionable storyline you'd like to try out, please double check with the mods first. We don't want to hold back your creativity, but we also do not want to offend anyone else. When posting large pictures or youtube videos, please use a cut! Cut-tags are your friend, especially for those of us that still have computers that are stuck in the stone age.
Now on to the good stuff! I don't know about the rest of you, but at times faux-celeb comms tend to get a little bit confusing when it comes to claiming different voices, lyrics, movies, TV roles and so on. So here's the deal. You get to pick your PB. Let's say, Rachel McAdams. And you get to pick the career of one celebrity. Shirley Manson. That way, your character will have all of Shirley Manson's career credits including anything that she's done with Garbage and solo wise.
For now we're only going to give you a two year leeway on when albums, movies and television shows were released. That way if you want the career claim of Kristen Bell and would still like Veronica Mars to be on air, that's okay! Why are we setting such a strict rule on release dates? Because it gets to be quite confusing when someone decides that they want to release a classic movie or album in the here and now. Most of us reference the things that influenced us growing up and it tends to be restricting if we can't quote lines from Ferris Bueller's Day off if it isn't going to be released until 2010. Make sense? Good!
Please, please, please be creative! If you want your character to have the face of Justin Timberlake, don't give him Justin Timberlake's career! That's boring. Color outside of the lines. Try something that's out of your normal comfort zone. This is your opportunity to turn Timberlake into whomever you'd like! Give him the career credits of Judd Aptow.
The update limit will be four weeks. Please make sure that your entries are at least a paragraph long. The more you write, the more insight the rest of us have on your character. Song lyrics do not count as a post because we have a community that song lyrics can be posted in. However, ONTD posts, Perez Hilton posts, celebrity blogs and whatever else your creative little mind can come up with absolutely counts!
Subcommunities are love! They're there so that you can take advantage of them so please be sure to use them to your little heart's content.
Lastly, please be sure to welcome everyone! Comment introduction posts and storyline posts. No one is going to want to play at a community where they don't feel welcome! And don't forget to pimp!

Application
We're going to judge your application based on your first post so no examples are required. Please make sure your first post contains some kind of history on your character and your character's credits. The more in depth or creative you are, the better! If you'd like to create an IMDB post for your character, that's fine. Just be sure to include some kind of biography somewhere as well. In addition, please make sure that there's somewhere in your userinfo that states that your journal is fake or just for role playing purposes only.
